The movie starts with Joe attempting to commit suicide but being foiled by his old pal Homer (Jackson Wheeler). When Homer asks Joe why he wants to kill himself, the movie flashes back to Joe having unusual pains and ringing in his ears. Joe goes to the doctor and gets diagnosed as having only 30 days to live. Joe lives it up, but of course, by movie's end he has the devil to pay.
It's always fun to see George O'Hanlon go to town on a great premise, and he obviously has a ball with this one. My only gripes with this short are a weak punchline and an even weaker Homer. Jackson Wheeler says all the right things and gives it a good try, but he's no match for the late Clifton Young's self-loving oiliness. Other than that, a pretty funny entry.
