SO YOU WANT TO MOVE

(orig. released Aug. 19, 1950)

Joe and Alice are moving to a house three blocks away from their current home. Alice is out of town during the move, so she has arranged for a moving company to do the job for $150. Of course, that's highway-robbery money in the eyes of Joe, who turns the movers away and vows to take care of the move himself. Joe does so, with the help of a neighbor named Marv (Rodney Bell) -- a well-meaning guy who, the movie lightly hints, might be a bit mentally impaired. How costly does the move get? The movie is kind enough to keep a running tally for us on the screen.

A predictable concept is pepped up considerably by lively action and some nice location work.
