Unable to sleep, Joe has a huge middle-of-the-night snack and lives (barely) to regret it. Joe gets severe indigestion and is rushed to the hospital, where he is continuously misdiagnosed by three of the most incompetent surgeons (Fritz Feld, Ted Stanhope, and the ever-delightful Frank Nelson) since The Marx Brothers made a case out of Margaret Dumont in A Day at the Races.
This short takes the most obvious digs possible at doctor and hospital incompetency, but it's all delivered so quickly and furiously that all you can do is laugh. Vaudeville isn't dead, folks, it's just seriously ill.
