Joe and Alice have a night-long argument about who works harder at his/her respective jobs. The argument goes on for so long, they wake up their lawyer (Emmett Vogan) to discuss a possible divorce. The lawyer is so tired and cranky, he sends them off in the middle of a night to a psychiatrist (Fritz Feld). The shrink gives the couple "psychosomatic hypnotism," transferring the mind (and, amazingly, the voice) of each person into the other person's body to give them each a taste of what the other goes through.
Once again, a set-up you can see coming a mile away is saved by the fun that the actors have with it. George O'Hanlon gets a story credit here, and he was obviously ready to cut loose as Alice-in-Joe's-body. Phyllis Coates has a pretty good time doing Joe in drag as well. By movie's end, you don't get the feeling that either one of them learned very much, but they both seemed to have a pretty fun time not learning.
