Alice is swept up by the expertise of the new next-door neighbor, famed pianist Gregor Flatsorsharpsky. Jealous Joe decides to buy a piano and learn how to play it himself, but everyone from the milkman to a stray kitten does better at it than Joe does.
Not a world-shaker but cute enough, George O'Hanlon makes it work with an enthusiastic, er, performance. This also marks the welcome return of Phyllis Coates as Alice. (There's a beautiful shot of windblown Alice out in the yard, torn between Joe and the expert pianist.) And Laurel & Hardy buffs will appreciate a blink-and-you-miss-it cameo from L&H nemesis Charlie Hall, in his final movie role as one of the guys who moves Joe's piano into the house.
