The Lady and the Tiger

A violent criminal known as the Tiger, and his gang, rob a jewelry store, murdering the employees and a policeman on their escape. Later, Paul Kirk was in a museum, inspecting a display featuring his latest animal conquests, along with his female companion, Ellen Drake.
Meanwhile, Ellen Drake's father, Thurston Drake, is being robbed by the Tiger and his gang at his penthouse and is murdered. Kirk and Ellen arrive in time to hear Thurston's last words, naming his assailants. Ellen, overcome with grief and rage, wants to seek revenge on those responsible but Kirk advises her that this is a job for the police to handle. That evening, intent on avenging her father's death, Ellen goes to the waterront to look for the Tiger. She starts by asking a local if he knew where to find the Tiger. Unbeknownst to her, the fellow she talked to was a memeber of the Tiger's gang and he relays back to the Tiger that Ellen is looking for him. The Tiger then orders his men to kidnap Ellen and bring her to him. Paul Kirk, now under the guise of Manhunter, is on the waterfront and soon discovers the Tiger's men abducting Ellen. He charges at the gang, taking down 3 henchmen but is then stuck from behing by a fourth, rendering him unconscious.
Sometime later, Manhunter awoke, bound, inside the Tiger's lair, with him boasting of his plans to rob Ellen of her inheritence. The Tiger then beats Manhunter and orders his men to take him and toss him off a bridge. Now bound to a concrete block, he is then taken to the bridge to be thrown off but was able to use the block to his advantage and was able to fight off the gang long enough to sever his bonds.
Unfortunately, the Tiger's gang gains the upper hand by sheer numbers, beating Manhunter to submission, leaving him to make their getaway with Ellen. Meanwhile, Manhunter recovers from his beating and proceeds to go after the Tiger and his gang, via the city sewer system. As he reaches the gang getting away in their car, Manhunter leaps upon the car and was able to manuever the car to crash into the police station. The police soon surrounded the car, demanding the surrender of the Tiger and his gang but the Tiger decides to come out of the car shooting, which then the police responded by shooting back, killing him. Just as the police rounded up the rest of the gang, Manhunter slips away unnoticed.
The next day, Ellen Drake is enjoying lunch with Paul Kirk, regaling him with her story of her encounter with Manhunter...
