Genosha. It looks like the most idyllic place to live. The world's fifth largest island boasts a high standard of living, a booming economy, ample food, space and jobs for all thanks to the advanced technology companies. Tourists flock to Genosha's picturesque beaches and lush rain forests. Genosha, indeed is a wonderful place to live, unless you are a mutant. he prosperity was built on the back of its mutants who for the most innocent of crimes were sent to its mutant camps to serve long sentences.
At birth each Genoshan had their DNA tested for the X-Gene. If it was found, the baby was catalogued and kept on file. Mutants unfortunate enough to be arrested and found guilty of breaking the law were sent away to internment camps located on the two northern islands on the East coast. It did not matter the severity of the crime, all mutants were sent to these camps whether they littered, drove to fast, or stole something. Once in these camps, records were lost and the mutants inside served time longer than their sentence. They also went through a period of reeducation to prevent them from rising up against their overseers. The mutants were forced to better Genosha. The cultivated land and made it arable for farming, used their telekinetic powers to erect buildings, and even controlled tiny elements of weather. Even if a mutant was never sent into forced servitude, Genosha's mutants still faced problems. Mutants were barely allowed the most basic of human rights and some thought they shouldn't even have that, they were not allowed to gather in great numbers for fear of starting a rebellion, and they could not interact with the rest of Genoshan's citizens. The world knew little about the trouble of Genoshan's mutants and Genosha planned to keep it that way. The ironic thing was, mutants were the majority.
Yet over the past few years, things in Genosha had begun to change. Aided by the Brotherhood, Genoshan mutants had started to rise up. Their movement was small at first but slowly it began to build.
A civil war was brewing that might not be so easily won. The Sentinels guarded the mutant camps in Genosha. Though of limited intelligence, they possessed advanced fighting tecniques and came with tremendous firepower.
