You can't spell "Bullshit" without B-U-S-H

If you haven't yet made your mind about who you'll be voting for in this election, this article is for you. Rather than talk about the merits of voting for Kerry, I decided it would be a lot more fun to expose several reasons why it's such a stupid idea to vote for Bush. Also, I thought I'd leave out the Iraq War and the Patriot Act and crap like that, and focus on more neglected issues. So here you go.

Education: There are only two words to describe the "No Child Left Behind" program: Bullshit central. Kids are getting cheated left and right. Virtually everyone with a chance to make something of themselves gets abandoned in favor of a handful of retards who had no future to begin with. Not only is this program badly designed, Bush didn't even bother to fund it properly. More like "No Child Left Unscrewed." If that's not enough, educational institutions are cutting budgets left and right. Hell, my school has been removing programs, allowing some of our best professors to leave, AND raising tuition and other fees for the past three years.

Gay marriage: Why does he care about this? If he's not gay, it shouldn't affect him. There shouldn't be a religious debate either. Nobody ever said that religious institutions had to recognize gay marriages. People can always have the ceremony done in a courthouse, no religion involved. Now, if I, a straight Protestant with very few gay acquaintances, can see the stupidity in Bush's stance on this issue, then he is clearly wrong.

File sharing: He's the freakin president, and he hasn't touched this issue with a 40-foot pole. It's just sad. I won't elaborate on this, as I have already made a good point elsewhere on this site.

Censorship: Once again, I've made my opinion clear about this in another rambling, but I feel that I should give a bit more insight. You see, if this truly is the "land of the free," then the government should be left out of someone's life to the greatest reasonable extent. People need to be free to make as many of their own choices as possible. If a man chooses to listen to Tom Leykis or Howard Stern, then he most likely expects some foul language or raunchy topics. If this is what he wants, then he should get it without the FCC sticking their asses into it and deciding for him what is appropriate. Even if a little kid listens to such a show, then it should be up to his parents, not the government, to stop him from hearing people talk about drunken sex. The reason the FCC is being so uptight right now is because of lazy-ass parents who don't feel they should have to worry about what their own children are watching. You know, the kind of people who shouldn't be havind kids in the first place. Screw the FCC, and screw the people who think they are right.

Environment: Why hasn't he pushed hybrid cars if he has any intention of reducing gas prices? You guessed it, it's hypocrisy! These wondercars can get 60 miles to the gallon, and a dozen new models, including SUVs, are due to be released within a year. A leader who ignores this innovation is both an asshole and an idiot.
