Original Broadcast Date: Nov. 24, 1970
Attempted Synopsis: A tour of the human body, especially the naughty bits; Australian philosophy professors; a man continually contradicts people; a plastic surgeon examines a man's fake nose; an unusual military parade; a cheapo airline; a local women's guild re-enacts the first heart transplant; underwater theater productions; "The Death of Mary, Queen of Scots"; the penguin on the TV set; an incompetent inspector investigates a burglary; singing police officers.
Review: Mostly funny, but still a bit hit-and-miss. The military group that adds new meaning to "parade," and the penguin bit, are laugh-provoking. On the other hand, the Australian-professor sketch is missing the musical punchline provided on the Matching Tie and Handkerchief album (later reprised in Live at the Hollywood Bowl). And the Pythons try to do a "sequel" to the "Battle of Pearl Harbor" sketch that, strangely, uses the exact same punchline. The Pythons might call this "comedy deconstruction"; we call it trying to garner laughs from an old bit.
Priceless Gag: The infantry display of "camping it up."
