Episode 28 - "Mr. and Mrs. Brian Norris' Ford Popular"

Original Broadcast Date: Oct. 26, 1972

Attempted Synopsis: An expeditionist begins an epic journey to a place 15 minutes away; schoolboys run a stock embezzelment scheme; "How to Do It"; a foreign minister responds poorly to baby talk; explosion as a medical cure; an agricultural show does a Tchaikovsky bio; a pianist/escape artist; dieting through classic literature; the fish-slapping dance; the captain and crew of a sinking ship dress up as women and children so that they can get a lifeboat; actors kill the BBC's budget; cameos from Ringo Starr and Lulu.

Review: Every sketch here hits the bull's-eye. There are any number of bits that could qualify for "Priceless Gags"; among others, you have to laugh the relentlessly happy cast of "How to Do It" giving inanely cheery advice. And the Pythons were thrilled to get an ex-Beatle (Ringo) for a cameo; this was obviously in the days before George Harrison financed some of their movies.

Priceless Gag: The fish-slapping dance is one for the ages.
