Review: This site frowns on most of the Python record compilations, but at least this one makes sense--if you were going to make a bootleg of Python's Greatest Hits, it would consist of most of the material here. The album is a little ripe for nit-picking--why not include "Background to History" from Matching Tie and Handkerchief?--but it hits most of the Python high points and is worth the money for that alone. The album's sole debits are (a) yet another version of Graham Chapman's repulsive "Medical Love Song," and (b) "Oliver Cromwell," recorded apparently to confirm John Cleese's claim as "the most un-musical man in Europe."
