Jaesson Balgus - Heir Protectorate Hundreds of years ago, Sir Balgus I was the guardian to Samas Ryanth. Over the course of their quest, Samas became the Guardian of the North and the Balgus bloodline would forever be imbued with the Guardian's blessing. From that point, every descendant of Sir Balgus I would become a member of the Protectorate, a sort of royal guard for the city of Balgus. The blessing of the Guardian allowed these individuals to manifest whatever device was needed to protect those under their care. However, this ability only works in cases of true need. Anything else will cause the power to fail. Jaesson is one of the youngest of all the current members of the Protectorate, having only just received the blessing of the Guardian. However, since the day that his father first began training Jaesson, it was the last thing that he wanted in the world. Since that point, Jaesson has felt the overwhelming burden of his gift. He wants nothing to do with his ancestor's great actions. In its place, Jaesson wishes to create his own path and make a name of his own, so that he will no longer live in the shadow of his ancestor's great deeds. However, Jaesson has no idea just how great of a role he is to play in the comming days....
