“You!” he stated. He pointed dramatically at the other man and smiled, allowing his carefully-maintained set of molars to shine in the dim light. Across the room on the bed, Kakashi looked up from his book and raised his visible eyebrow.
“Me?” he said.
“Yes, you!” Gai repeated, crossing the distance to stand in front of his rival. He crossed his arms. “You promised me something tonight, Kakashi!”
“Did I? I don’t remember even talking to you before, let alone--”
“Kakashi!” Gai interrupted. “How dare you dishonor our passionate rivalry with such nonsense? Scissors beats paper, Kakashi; you owe me something.”
Kakashi sighed and laid his book on the nightstand. “Fine, fine,” he said. He performed a few hand seals. There was a puff of smoke, and in Kakashi’s place sat another Gai. Gai One grinned glintily and leaned down, caressing Gai Two’s face with familiar precision.
“Not bad, my rival,” he said, pulling Gai Two to a standing position and kissing him. “But,” he continued, “can you keep it up?”
“I’ve never had problems with that before,” Gai Two answered, pulling Gai One’s face forward to kiss him again. When they parted, Gai One frowned, then did it again. Gai Two clung to his shoulders, whimpering. Soon, though, Gai One pushed Gai Two away, a slightly disgusted look on his face.
“I don’t really wanna do this anymore,” he said.
“But you promised!” Gai Two insisted. He tried to wind his arms around Gai One’s torso again only to be held at arm’s length. He soon looked away from Gai One’s penetrating gaze. Gai One released his shoulders and performed a few hand seals. There was a small explosion. When the smoke cleared, there was another figure in Gai One’s place, a smaller, more feminine figure.
“Neji,” TenTen said, folding her arms over her chest, “this role-play thing really isn’t working.”
