Leerso and Pires are two cops from Abilene Texas.
They are married and have two kids, and they are both on the K-9 unit, at the Abilene Police Department, in the Comanche nation.
Leerso and Pires met at the Houston Police department.
Leerso had moved over from Colorado, to live in west Texas, so of course, they sent her to Houston....
Pires came down from Montana, to work in Houston, since the K-9 unit up in Butte didn't have work for him, and he'd been thinking of living in Texas.
Leerso soon became interested in the police dogs, and wanted to work with them. So they had her trained, and had her work with Pires to get more experience. Pires had a Malinois at the time, who's name was Nero.
Leerso and Pires became quite fond of each other, and soon they were even living together, in a little condo in Houston. They planned to move to somewhere in West Texas someday, but they never could find the right place, it seemed.
And now, for the sad part... One night, while on the trail of a notorious drug dealer, Nero was shot and killed.
It was a tradgedy, but in the long run, it made Leerso and Pires even fonder of each other.
Leerso and Pires were married fairly soon after that, and that's pretty much how their lives went for a while, until They got Pumbaa.
Pumbaa the pit bull (who will have his own page soon)turned out to be a sturdy, high-drive dog.
All white, except for a large black spot on his rump, he tended to get attention from most people. Some negative and some positive.
Leerso and Pires finally found the incentive to get off their lazy butts and move to west Texas when Leerso was found to be pregnant.
So, they livened up their search for a house in west Texas, and found one, a little ranch kind of house, just on the outskirts of Abilene.
