Havok and his brother Cyclops were orphaned when their parents died in a plane crash. The two were taken in by Sinister and raised as his sons.
Sick of always being in the shadow of his older brother, Havok set out to prove that he was better than Cyclops. He was investigating the recent breakouts at the Breeding Pens when he discovered that it was his own brother betraying their high lord Apocalypse and used this piece of evidence to take command of the Elite Mutant Force and turn them against Cyclops, who he had imprisoned.
With the help of Jean Grey, Cyclops was able to escape, but Havoc hunted them down and killed them both. Though Havok was elated to finally be rid of his cumbersome brother, his happiness was transient as Weapon X arrived moments later and slaughtered Havok for murdering Jean.
