Bora

• Bora’s real name is unknown, but she is a Russian mutant who was a former ballerina, assassin, and member of the Avant Guard. She has the ability to generate powerful, freezing winds. She is also an accomplished fighter who uses her legs as weapons. Also, Bora is seven feet tall, a height that put an end to her career as a ballerina.
• In her first appearance, Bora tried to kill several Russian dancers who had set up residence in the USA. She encountered Moon Knight, the Fantastic Four, and several X-Men, who used blinding lights and deafening noises to defeat her. At the time, Moon Knight had been temporarily paralyzed after being attacked by the Fly.
• Next, Bora met the Painter and Spark and joined them in the Avant Guard. Through mysticism, the Painter joined their spirits together in order to grant them all additional power. Bora used her increased powers to blanket Manhattan within a terrible blizzard. She was overcome by Spider-Man and the Human Torch, but the Painter revived her with a wave of his special brush. Not long afterwards, during another fight with Spider-Man and the Torch, the Painter lost interest in the Avant Guard’s plans and entrapped Bora and Spark in his canvas before he exploded into a deluge of cockroaches. That was the end of Bora, although she is presumably still alive, just trapped inside a painting.
