Plasma
- Plasma was Leila O’Toole, a mutant from Ireland who was the niece of Ahmet Abdol, alias the Living Pharaoh/Living Monolith. She was the leader of a cult called the Cult of the Living Pharaoh, but she also led another group called the Knights of the Moon. She had the ability to absorb and store ambient energy, which she used to become stronger and more durable and also used to increase her mass. She could also release plasma blasts of destructive force.
- In her first appearance, Leila was sent by the Cult of the Living Pharaoh to capture the mutant X-Man Havok, whom she ended up traveling with throughout Australia for a time (he thought she was running from the cult as opposed to her actually being a part of it). Eventually, Leila was infused with Havok’s power in the same manner that her uncle the Living Pharaoh was several years prior and took the name Plasma. When Havok refused to willingly give her even more of his power, Plasma attacked him as well as her own followers. She was eventually defeated by Havok during their fight.
- After the business with Havok, Plasma decided to unite all Middle Eastern cults so she could start a holy war against the rest of the world. She started by recruiting the Cult of Khonshu, whom she used in a terrorist attack on the Statue of Liberty and Grand Central Station. Her plans were stopped by Moon Knight and Ghost Rider, but she managed to give the two heroes a good run for their money as they fought atop a speeding subway train. Several times, she even seemed to destroy the Ghost Rider with her plasma blasts. Unfortunately, Plasma ended up being killed in a terrible explosion when the subway struck a wall.
- SIDE NOTE: Plasma once attended an AIM Weapons Expo, the one where Captain America attended, disguised as Crossbones.
