Romulus

• Romulus’ real name is Cassandra Romulus, and she is a lupine warrior mentally imbued with centuries worth of military knowledge. She was created through genetic engineering by Hydra as a part of their Super Soldier experiment, but she and two cohorts managed to escape captivity. She later encountered Captain America and Nick Fury while she was searching for a way to cure her condition. One of the doctors at the facility she had raided managed to create a serum for her, using samples from corpses that had been injected with genetic solutions designed to help cure genetic abnormalities. Although Romulus had killed a Hydra bounty hunter that had been attempting to bring her back to her employers, Captain America took a chance with Romulus and gave her the serum in hopes that the cure would work and give her a normal life.
• However, Romulus was, in fact, a covert operative of Baron Strucker whom he used to collect information about Captain America’s fighting techniques and record his every move through genetic memory improvements. On an interesting note, when Strucker destroyed the vial containing the serum which could potentially cure Romulus of her condition, Romulus looked somewhat disturbed by the action, but she has since become one of Strucker’s most loyal, cold-blooded soldiers in the HYDRA organization.
