STAINED GLASS SCARLET

• Stained Glass Scarlet is actually Scarlet Fasinera, and she first appeared in MOON KNIGHT VOL.1#14. She is an emotionally disturbed nun, a vigilante, and a terrorist all rolled up into one crazy package. She has a psychic link with Marc Spector, Moon Knight. During moments of extreme stress, her thoughts become interwoven with those of Moon Knight. This link isn't continuous and only occurs when Scarlet either is in need of Moon Knight or when they both are undergoing severe trauma. Scarlet is well-trained in the use of a crossbow, which is her preferred weapon of choice. She has followers dressed in red robes similar to her own. These followers are mostly homeless girls that she had taken in off the streets.
• Scarlet Fasinera is a mentally unstable young woman. Her father constantly abused her when she was a child, both physically and psychologically, blaming her for the sins that he himself had committed. Finally, one night, no longer able to take the abuse, Scarlet lit a cigarette and placed it in her father's bed. The fire burned him to death, but the police assumed that the fire was just an accident. Scarlet went to live with her aunt and uncle. For a while, Scarlet enjoyed life. She delved into poetry and later became a nun. However, her life once again took a huge nosedive after she married Vince Fasinera, a husband who abused her constantly. After he was gunned down on the steps of a church, a pregnant Scarlet was left alone. She raised her child as best as she could; but when he turned 13, her son became addicted to heroin and a life of crime. He took on the name of "Mad Dog" Fasinera and encountered Moon Knight. In order to save Moon Knight's life, Scarlet gunned down her son, killing her only child. Later, Scarlet became a crossbow-totting vigilante and killed anyone who she believed sinned, mostly criminals. Eventually, Scarlet's desperate need for her own sins to be forgiven drove her insane. She tried to burn down all of New York City, but Moon Knight stopped her. In the end, Scarlet plunged off the Brooklyn Bridge.
• However, Scarlet survived the fall and fought alongside Moon Knight against Black Spectre II, Morpheus, and Bushman.
