Plot: After a late night out partying, Selena is attacked by Vampires who seek to kill her. The demonslayer, Ray, comes to her aid and they slay all but one of them. He is leery of what she is, but notices her human traits. Matt talks to Demmy about his break-up with Karisma, and asks his opinion of Selena. Karisma, hateful towards her sister, steals an ancient book, the Rakkana Vinh, from a museum in order to further some secret agenda. Matt has a nightmare about the water ring weilder, a being called Damascus who seeks all the rings, and his own death. Selena and Ray share a little bit of eachother’s history. Ray derives invulnerability from a mystical tattoo on his left arm. Selena is curious about a strange photo of a woman, but proceeds to seduce Ray into bed. Geofane merges with a demon and plans to transform four prisoner humans as well. Selena & Ray go out to finish off the vampire who got away. Selena has second thoughts about Ray, regrets their having sex, and they go their separate ways. Matt goes to Chinatown to talk to Shiang Yamato about his nightmare and learns it is just his connection to the other ring weilders with their lives intermingled with his own fears. As for Damascus, he is told not to worry about it, and Shiang forewarns that Matt’s friends are in trouble right now. After Matt leaves, Shiang has thoughts about Damascus he didn’t share. Karisma & Demmy are kidnapped by two of Geofane’s transformed minions.
