John McKee

My family line starts off with John McKee he was born in Cass County Missouri on January 1, 1867. He married Bythie Thomason,
who was also said to be born in Missouri where I do not know I have not been able to find any information on her.
I feel John was a very private person. It has been hard finding any information on him.
They met and married in Texas but I do not know where. They had 4 children.

Cora B: October 1885
Winnie B: December 1886
Robert Edward B: March 1891
Katie B: March 1995

Shannon found John and his family in the 1900 Mineral Well Census and at that time Blytha was not listed. It was told to my sister when she way young that Grandma Byltha died giving birth to my grandma Kate and G Grandma Sarah raised her and the rest of John's children.
Cora 14 and winnie 13 at the time Robert 9 and grandma Kate was 5. I really don't know that much about Cora and Winnie, but they were with Sarah there in Mineral Wells Texas. That was the last time we found anything on them, don't know if they got married or had passed away.

John later married Lula Cookson in the County of Las Animas city of Aguilar Colorado. They had Beatrice on February 8, 1919 he was 52 at the time and Lula was 17. My mom, the always said he liked them young now I believe it.

Robert Edward was born in the city Thurber, Erath County Texas on March 12,1891. He married Lela Cookson and they had two children Robert John and a sister, my mom never heard her called anything but sister. Robert Eward was living in the Park View Nursing Home and died on March 28th, 1975 at the Mission Hill Memorial Hospital there in Shawnee.

Robert John lived at the Shawnee Care Center, Shawnee Oklahoma where he died in 1972 at the age of 55.

Katie (Kate) McKee Jenkins was born on March 20,1894 in the city of Gibtown, Jack County Texas. She met Daniel Jacob Jenkins married and had my grandmother Oma Jenkins on Feburary 14,1914. Katie died on October 20, 1971 in Port St Joe, and she was buried in Holly Hill Cemetery. Oma my grandmother died on July 20, 1998 and is buried in the Holly Hill Cemetery there in Port St. Joe, Florida.
