Shanghai....

"Real life isn't so cut-and-dried. It's ten thousand subtle shades of gray, one overlapping the other."

Well, here I am again on my next trip.... Huangshan !! China never fails to capture my heart & interest with its beautiful landscape and culture.

Shanghai, a major economic powerhouse soon to come. It's equally beautiful at night with the majestic colonial buildings rising sky high.
View from Grand Hyatt... it is simply beathtaking !
Look at the landscaping... Fruits of labour - Better treasure what we have. We got up early in the morning about 5.30am to catch the sunrise.
Moment worth waiting for.....
A dark cloud approaching seemingly unaware of the hundreds of pairs of eyes waiting eagerly for the sun's glory....
Although it's a mere 30% chance of watching the sunrise for that morning, I think it's worth the effort & freezing cold....
Oops! Seems like the sun is going to bed again....
Hangzhou stone sculpture
Temple ground
Nanjing Zhong Shan Ling - Burial ground for Mr Sun Zhong Sun
Lion sculpture guarding the gate.
Beautiful flowers made the place a pleasant environment & a visual treat.
The view from the top is quite spectacular !
Suzhou garden - Heaven on earth.
Suzhou - One has only to admire the transquility of the place.....
Zhouzhuang - I just love the traditional design of the place.... so peaceful & so aesthetically engineered....
A view within a view.
One can only imagine the boat traffic a couple of centuries back....
