The Legend -- The King

Some of you know that Becca's  webpages wouldn’t be complete without a tribute to 'THE KING' *ss*...In this page I will try to tell a little more about Elvis --- then --- you make the final decision...Is Elvis alive?...or...Indeed gone?...

I have visited Graceland many times since the king died, it is a beautiful place *ss*...I think it ranks right up there with a castle, well that’s another Becca opinion *lol*...Elvis' birth name was…Elvis Aaron Presley...Unlike most stars he didn’t change his name when he became famous... However later on in life though  he did change the spelling of his middle name by just dropping one A...Though he never did do this legally...So his birth certificate has 2-As, but his death certificate has only 1-A...Does that alone mean that Elvis faked his own death?...

--- Below is what’s on the sign that stands out side Graceland ---

Elvis Aron Presley

He was born a twin but his brother...Jessie Garrot Presley...died at birth...Elvis was poor, until he became famous, he always told his Momma that one day she wouldn’t have to work and he would support her and Papa, and he kept his promise to his Mother...

What started Elvis' career was the person whom he adored most in all the World --- his Momma...She loved to hear Elvis sing which he did a lot…He was even in the choir of his church…

One day for his Momma's birthday he decided to record a song on a record and give it to her…Elvis had to save for a longtime to have enough money for the record, but if you knew Elvis at all then you know the way he felt about his Momma and that every penny he saved for that record was very well spent, since she loved to hear him sing so much...

Sam Phillips was the producer at the studio the day Elvis went there to record the song for his Momma...he told Sam what he wanted to do and Sam thought sure you do this is just a way for me to hear you --- but --- he agreed to let Elvis record the song...

Needless to say that Sam Phillips was very Impressed with what he heard that day --- thus --- offering him a contract with Sun Records…

The King of Rock-n-Roll

So the ---   'Legend Began'

The King of Rock-n-Roll
Elvis was an overnight sensation with young and old alike...Even though he had a singing and eventually acting career --- Elvis loved police and detective work --- so much so that…

Wherever he would travel...Elvis would try to become an honoree police officer if at all possible...He did have several badges from all over the country including the Memphis police department...

Over the years his life was threatened many times, as are a lot of the big name stars, the last threat came through just 2 months before he supposedly was found dead...Word had it back then that the 'Memphis Mafia' had put a hit out on Elvis...

There are a lot of inconsistencies when you look at several factors concerning his death...

Fact #1: The night he died he gave all of his bodyguards (25) the night off --- Elvis never did this in all his life…One bodyguard (his lifelong friend since high school) told Elvis he wasn’t leaving him alone, but all the others left Elvis that fateful night...The one that stayed behind had a drink before retiring for bed and ended up falling asleep on the couch (tests would later reveal that he was drugged)…He awoke to the sound of Ginger (Elvis' girlfriend) screaming…He immediately ran up the stairs to find Elvis laying on the bathroom floor…He then proceeded to dial 911…and with the recent threats on Elvis' life he didn’t dare touch his body...

Fact #2: Elvis' longtime Dr. had gotten there just minutes before the ambulance did (mind you he wasn’t called) while he examined Elvis' body he made everyone else leave the room and then he shut the door behind him... What seemed like hours to the people waiting to hear the news was really only minutes when Dr Nickopolaus announced 'The King' was indeed dead...

Fact #3: When matching signatures on Elvis' death certificate (the Drs) they weren’t written by the same person...What does that mean?...They decided to check Elvis' handwriting with that on his own death certificate and guess what --- It matched perfectly...Who did fill out Elvis' death certificate then?...Many believe that Elvis himself did...But why would he do that?...

With these facts I just brought to your attention and the fact about his middle name which I mentioned earlier...Let me ask you this important question --- Do you think that Elvis faked his own death?...If so...Why did he do that?...

Personally Becca thinks that he did indeed die that dreaded day that history ultimately 'stopped'…but after watching the tape I rented it even left me wandering, if 'The King' really did die that day or if he infact cheated death to escape 'The Memphis Mafia'...

It's a pretty interesting tape its called 'The Elvis Chronicles' so if at all possible try to rent it...then you can come to your own conclusions about the King...

--- Is he dead? --- Or alive? --- You be the judge ---

At his last live concert, approximately 3 weeks before his death, the song on this page was the last song that Elvis sang in front of a live audience...I think that this is another mystery --- Why he could still be alive today and he knew what he was planning on doing...

This song describes someone, possibly (Elvis), who knew the end was near and that he (Elvis) must face the finale curtain alone...but... through it all Elvis knew what he had to do...To protect those around him that he loved...

My Way

And now the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I've traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption
I planned each chartered course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Yes there were times I'm sure you knew
That I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up, ya, and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall
And did it my way

I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now as tears subside I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that and may I say
"Not in a shy way" Oh no, oh no not me
I did it my way

What is a man, what has he got
If not himself then he has not
To say the words he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows and did it my way
The record shows I took the blows and did it my way

I think in many ways we are all like Elvis to a certain degree...Don't you?...Sometimes in life we forget about what we want or need in order to give the people around us what they want or need...Afterall to know that a loved one is truly happy (even though we may be hurting inside) will make us happy...Does this song have meaning for you?...If so...Please feel free to email me and to share with me why this song has meaning for you --- and --- If you would like to let me know what you think of the Facts I laid out before you and why you feel the way that you do...I would love to read everyones opinion about this page or any of my pages as far as that goes...

Now I ask you again...Did Elvis plan his own death?...Is he merely in hiding?...Whatever your conclusions are keep this in mind...Elvis may be gone from this world physically but to millions of his fans…

--- He does indeed live on --- and --- always will --- where it counts the most --- in their hearts ---
