What exactly
is life?
How do you measure a good life?
As opposed to a bad one?
What
makes up ones life?
How do we go on living, when life seems to throw us some
curves?
These are just a few of the questions that run through my mind when I
think of 'Life'
In this page I will answer these questions and more, see if your view
of 'Life' matches that of mine and if it doesn't, don't fret everyone's view of 'Life'
does differ to a certain degree
Do keep an open mind when reading this page, some of
my views may be a little far fetched and way out there in left field -- but remember that
these are only my thoughts and feelings on 'Life'
Life is a learning experience, sometimes its good
and well sometimes its bad, but as long as we all learn from our past mistakes that's
really all that matters
Life was not designed to be easy -- Not At All
This is
how I picture what 'life' is like
I view
life as a road with many turns and curves along the way -- Our family and friends start
out with us along life's road, sometimes we go in different directions, sometimes we may
even lose touch with that family member or friend
but
We keep on moving
on
We may take a turn off in the road of life, as our friend or family may go in a
different direction -- but all in all we have to take the road of life that is 'RIGHT' for
us -- no matter what anyone else thinks or does -- sure we may take a few wrong turns as
we're walking down that road -- but after all that's really what 'life' is meant to be for
each of us ------
'One Big Learning
Experience'
This song 'Life's a Dance' is really very good -- we do learn as we go
Don't you
agree?
The chorus says it all -- "Life's a dance you
learn as you go"
"Sometimes you lead, sometimes
you follow"
"Don't worry about what you don't know"
"Life's a dance you learn as you go"
Life's A Dance
When I was fourteen I was falling fast
For a blue eyed girl in my homeroom class
Trying to find the courage to ask her out
Was like trying to get oil from a waterspout
What she would have said I can't say
I never did ask and she moved away
But I learned something from my blue eyed girl
Sink or swim you gotta give it a whirl
Life's a dance you learn as you go
Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow
Don't worry about what you don't know
Life's a dance you learn as you go
The longer I live the more I believe
You do have to give if you wanna receive
There's a time to listen, a time to talk
And you might have to crawl even after you walk
Had sure things blow up in my face
Seen the longshot, win the race
Been knocked down by the slamming door
Picked myself up and came back for more
Life's a dance you learn as you go
Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow
Don't worry about what you don't know
Life's a dance you learn as you go
Life's a dance you learn as you go
Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow
Don't worry about what you don't know
Life's a dance you learn as you go
Life's a dance you learn as you go
Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow
Don't worry about what you don't know
Life's a dance you learn as you go
Life's a dance
Life's a dance
Life's a dance
Take a chance on love
Life's a dance
You learn as you go
I strongly believe that no-one
can live our 'life' for us
We have decisions to make and we have to make them in
whatever way that will make us the happiest -- whether our friends or family agree
or disagree with us
We would hope that they would understand the decision that we
made and 'love' us in spite of their views about what we should or shouldn't have
done
After all no matter what -- they should have a 'love' for us that is 'UNCONDITIONAL'...Am
I right there?...Unconditional love is by far the only way that we can truely 'LOVE' --
There should never be any conditions on 'love' -- If you feel that you have to put
conditions on love...well...then all I can say to that is -- you had better look long and
hard and find out what 'true love' really is all about, and when you do -- then you will
definately have grown in 'life'...
You know its really unfortunate when the people who are
suppose to be the closest to us -- in our life -- really don't have a clue as to what we
are all about
Don't
you think so?
I do 'cause so many times, in my life this has held very true -- sad
isn't it?
but
Very much a fact
so
If anyone out there in the virtual
world, can tell me WHY the really close people in our lives don't even seem to care --
then by all means, please do
I think that old cliché holds very true here --"You don't know what you have 'till its gone." Now why is that do you suppose?
Is it because your friends and
family just take you for granted?
or
Is it that their just too involved with
what they want, that they really can't, or maybe they don't want to see what you want or need?
Personally I think that if you claim to 'love' someone, as
much as you say you do -- then all of their stress & worries become yours -- their
wants & needs become your wants & needs -- and most of all their hopes &
dreams for a better and brighter tomorrow become your only desire -- and vice
versa
After all that is what 'life' is all about
Right?
Funny thing about 'life' though, is that we don't realize
how much we needed that special someone in our 'life' -- until -- that someone is
gone
Most of the time they leave us because they have NO choice in the matter -- with that last statement I'm talking about them
leaving us do to unforeseen circumstances -- circumstances beyond anyone's
control
Death
then we regret not having told that person, how we really feel,
such as telling them 'I Love You' as much as we could
or
by doing little things
to show them how much we really do care -- now that's exactly what 'life' was meant to be
-- wasn't it?
I know I may never see all the wealth in the world or even
come close to obtaining it -- but for me that really doesn't even matter, as long as I
know in my heart that I did my very best to let my fellow man know how
much I really do care and appreciate them for who they are
The appropriate song here would be 'If Tomorrow Never Comes' by
Garth Brooks
This song tells what 'life' is all about -- no matter who it is, whether
it be your Mom or Dad -- Sister or Brother -- Aunt or Uncle -- friend or foe -- and
especially your significant other, as the song states
If Tomorrow Never Comes
Sometimes late at night
I lie awake and watch her sleeping
She's lost in peaceful dreams
So I turn out the lights and lay there in the dark
And the thought crosses my mind
If I never wake up in the morning
Would she ever doubt the way I feel
About her in my heart
If tomorrow never comes
Will she know how much I loved her
Did I try in every way to show her every day
That she's my only one
And if my time on earth were through
And she must face the world without me
Is the love I gave her in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes
'Cause I've lost loved ones in my life
Who never knew how much I loved them
Now I live with the regret
That my true feelings for them never were revealed
So I made a promise to myself
To say each day how much she means to me
And avoid that circumstance
Where there's no second chance to tell her how I feel
If tomorrow never comes
Will she know how much I loved her
Did I try in every way to show her every day
That she's my only one
And if my time on earth were through
And she must face this world without me
Is the love I gave her in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes
So tell that someone that you love
Just what you're thinking of
If tomorrow never comes
As the song that you've just
read states 'If tomorrow never comes will she know just how much I loved her -- will she
know in every way that she's my only one -- If tomorrow never comes'
So let me ask
you -- "Will the one you love more than 'life' itself know just how much
he/she was loved by you?
If you didn't wake up to see
another sunrise -- How will you be remembered?
As a person who gave more than they
got and NEVER asked for anything in return
or
As a
person who was out to get what 'life could offer them at any cost, no matter who got in
your way?
Will you be a person that will surely be remembered long after your
gone?
Not for your wealth or fame but for the way you loved and cared for your family
& friends and how you lived your 'life' to the fullest
or
Will you be a
person that will soon be forgotten?
If you had a choice -- which one would you
choose?
None of us, (no matter how young or old) are not promised tomorrow only today -- So remember what a wise man once said...
Yesterday is the
past
Tomorrow is the future
Today is a gift -- that's why we call it the present |
