Are we ever Really Alone? Are we ever Really Alone?
The Lord saith, “I will not leave you comfortless. I will come unto you.” He promised us
another Comforter, “and He shall tell you all things, what ye shall do”. Jesus was that solitary
figure on the cross, seemingly Alone, left to bear that unspeakable weight of and by Himself.
But was He Alone? For a moment, yes, He was Alone. Do you have to bear such a burden?
You may have to be Alone. But remember that God is waiting with Holy Angels to buoy you
up and Comfort you after you have proven faithful. How did Jesus survive such a trial?
Because He knew God, He knew He would yet be there for Him. After He had finished the
work He had to do, God would call Him a “beloved Son, in whom He is well pleased”. Can
you respond to this Loving Father, even though you may have never had such a father? Do you
wish to hear those words spoken of you, after the trial of your faith? The answer is a resounding,
Yes. It is hard to be Alone. Surely it is as God said of Adam, :”it is not good for man to be
Alone”. But if this be my lot, according to God, then let me carry it well, that I may come off
Conqueror, Valiant, and Beloved of God, in whom He is well pleased. Let me be Alone in my
trial of faith, that I may yet be Strengthened, Lifted up, and Loved of God.
