This page is made in loving memory of our
Daddy, Kenneth Wayne Springer. Born July 31,
1966 died July 24, 1995.
He was a wrecker driver & mechanic in
Madisonville, Texas at Drake's Service
Center. He was a hard worker & a dedicated
father. He devoted all his time to his two
sons, Kyle Wayne & James Chase Springer.
While changing a tire on a call on North
bound Interstate 45, at 2:00am, he was struck
by a drunk driver. Nothing was done to the
person responsible for his death! The police
never did a sobriety test. That afternoon,
his brother,
Tim found a discarded 12 pack of beer, over
half empty, along with more than another half
of a case of empty beer bottles in the ditch
where the driver was pulled over. The
witnesses said that the car was swerving
wrecklessly & moving in excess of 75 or 80
mph, and that Kenneth tried to flag the car
down to keep him from hitting the van he was
working on as there were 3 women & 3
children in the vehicle. We feel that the
Leon Co Police Dept. did a poor investigation
& left allot of things out of their report.
All who knew Kenneth loved him! His tragic
death left many, many people heart sick, yet
his memory still lives on in the hearts of
those he held dear.
This page is dedicated to him, and anyone who
knew him is incouraged to sign the guestbook
with comments or memorials.
Below are some pictures of Kenneth & some
favorite memories of ours. Our Daddy loved
Elton John, the background song is Empty
Garden...this song says how we feel about the
loss of our Daddy. It was written about John
Lennon's death and in the song it says "A
gardener like that one, no one can replace".
How true these words ring. If you ever get a
chance, listen to the song with words. Come
back often to read the guestbook. May God
Bless & Keep You All Safe!
