DEVELOPMENTS IN THE EAST: MASSACRE IN ANDIZHAN.
Statement
by His Majesty, At present I am in consultation with Allies to bring about the end of this situation. It will not be tolerated any longer this has been going on for far too long. I can sit back no longer and allow my people to suffer. I have up until now allowed matters to run their course but it is evident that I must now intervene and stop the atrocities that have come to my attention. Hopefully in a peaceful manner without bloodshed. There will be no warnings if my orders are not implemented at once. First, ALL members of the Armed Forces that are not on normal duties are to return to barracks and await further orders, and return weapons to the armoury. Second, the President in Tashkent shall give a full account to the United Nations monitors and give public assurance that all the people of Uzbekistan are safe and in no danger from his forces, in any way, shape, or form. Third, I will allow him to retain his office for the time being as I do not wish a general uprising and more innocents killed, but in saying this, I do not give him mandate to punish those he feels responsible, except those officers that took it into their own hands to fire on peaceful women and children. I will be in personal contact in the coming days to put forth the country's new building plan of future developments for growth, structure, and the path laid out to bring about elections that will give every person a voice that is fair to all without vengeance of one's religion, so the country can compete in Industry and Knowledge. is no going back, only forward to the future, to P.E.A.C.E. |

Bokhara follows the Sunni sect of Islam, and uses both the Hijri calendar as well as Gregorian. Hijri dates are usually shown in Arabic numerals. Many of our stamps show dates in Hijri, and fortunately for all, a web page is now available to convert Gregorian dates to Hijri and vice-versa. Thanks be to Allah.
