Thursday, December 30, 1999Amanda Nicole Box, age 19, of Winfield, AL., died December 29, 1999, funeral service will be held on Friday, December 31, at 11:00 a.m., at McGraw Memorial Chapel with buriel at Tidwell Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, from 6-9 p.m., at the funeral home. Survivors: her father, Tommy F. Box of Winfield; her mother, Gloria Benton Nix of Hamilton; brothers, Jason (Karen) Box of Hamilton and Craig Box of Winfield; sister, Erin Box of Hamilton; three nephews, Jesse McCarley, Patrick McCarley, and Michael Box; grandparents, Ada Box, Norman and Lillie Benton, all of Winfield; aunt Patsy Johnson of Hanceville, and other aunts; step-mother, Tina Box of Winfield; step-father, Derian Nix of Hamilton. Reedie F. Box
April 6, 1965, Reedie F. Box, age 48 of Winfield, AL, passed away at his home early Tuesday morning after years of diabetes and recent heart trouble. He had worked at he Winfield Cotton Mill for 16 years until ill health caused him to retire last August. He was a member of the Elm Church of Christ. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elm Church of Christ with interment in Tidwell Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery. C.W. Posey and Wiley Hollingsworth will officiate. The body is now at the residence in Winfield, Route 1. McGraw Brown Service will direct. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ada McCollum Box, one daughter, Mrs. Patsy Box Johnson of Winfield, and one son Tommy F, Box of Winfield; two grandsons, Chris and Marty Johnson, his father, Luther F. Box of Glen Allen, AL; three sisters, Sadie McDonald, Faye Thompson, & Freddie Moore; one brother, Quinton R. Box of Glen Allen.
Ella BoxBorn April 16,1916-Died May 30, 1998 at age 82 years one month 14 days. Funeral Service was held Monday June 1, 1998 at 11:00 A.M. from the Larence Funeral Home in Winfield, Marion County, Alabama. Minister was Charles Allow. Survivors are her daughter, Betty (Windell) Harrison, a sister, Earlene Conner, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Buriel was in Morris Cemetery in Fayette County, Alabama.
Jonathan Lee Kirkley
FAYETTE COUNTYJonathan Lee Kirkley, 14, of the Berea Community in FAyette County, died on Wednesday, April 19, 2000, from injuries recieved in a 4-wheeler/automobile accident. He was born on December 31, 1985, in Fayette County, and was a lifetime resident of the Berea Community. An eighth grade student at Hubbertville High School, he participated in all sports activities at school and attended Tidwell Chapel Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, J.C. Kirkley, a brother, Christopher Lee Kirkley, and his great-grandparents, Elmer Shaw, Robert Kimbrell, Marvin and Minnie Tucker, and victor and Cora Kirkley. Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 22, 2000, at 11:00 a.m. from the Berea Church of Christ with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Larry Alexander and Bobby Dodd were the officiating ministers. Acitive pallbearers were Ken Dodd, Brian Alexander, Tony Shaw, David Shaw, John Jones, Chris Stovall, Rodney MArkum, and Larry McWhirter. Honorary pallbearers were the Hubbertville Junior High Football Team and all his classmates. Survivors include his father, Jeffery Lee Kirkley, Berea Community, his mother, Connie Shaw Beasley of Berry, a sister, Krystal Sue Kirkley of Berea, grandparents, Oneata Tucker Kirkley of Berea, James Alfred Shaw of Eldridge, and Connie Layton of Ft. Worth, Texas, two great grandmothers, MAry Shaw of Carbon Hill, and Melba Kimbrell of Jasper, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Miles Funeral Home directed the services.
