  • ½ kilogram of Paneer Cheese (cubed - about 3 cm/1 ½" each)
  • 1 Lemon (Nimbu) (quartered)
  • 1 Onion (sliced into rings - for garnish)
  • 1 tsp. Chaat Masala Powder
  • 2 tsp. Tandoori Masala
  • 1 tsp. Black Pepper (Pisi Kaali Mirch) (powdered)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 2 tsp. Garlic Paste (Pisa Lehsan)
  • 2 tsp. Ginger Paste (Pisi Adrak)
  • A few drops of Red Food Color
  • 1 cup or 200 grams of Plain Yogurt
  • Cooking Oil (for brushing)

  1. Mix all of the ingredients together, (except the garnish ingredients.) Set aside for 30 minutes.
  2. About 20 minutes before serving, place the paneer cheese on a drip pan and bake in a 350 degree pre-heated oven for about 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from oven, brush with oil and bake for another 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can grill on a griller or a barbecue pit. (The drippings should definitely have a means of escape, or else the paneer will get soggy.)
  4. Serve hot, garnished with lemon and onion rings.

Serving Suggestions: Serve hot, garnished with lemon and onion rings.
