We always expected that Darren would give of his very best, and we were not disappointed. Although he is still a relatively young man, his depth of experience shows, as he started performing on the Country Music circuit at a very young age.

 On this evening, he also showed the range of material that he is capable of handling. The dance floor was occupied – mainly full – for every song that he gave us, but listeners were also very well served. He fully deserves his place at the top of the league! 

I won’t list all of the songs that Darren played, except to say that he covered the whole range from Marty Robbins right up to the present day, finishing the night with an encore performance of Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect”, delivered in a distinctly Country style! Very few artists could have done this, but Darren carried it off perfectly! 

It was also very nice to see Terry, Darren’s dad, who always accompanies him to every gig. 

Thanks again to Sandra, Sheila, and all the hard working bar and catering staff.
