Nov 2010 - Northern Renegades CMC, Burton - on - Trent

It is nine months since Ivor last performed at our club and during that period he must have spent many hours learning new Country songs, especially those adopted by the line dance fraternity, to add to his huge catalogue.
However, classic country afficionados were well catered for as content of his show was equally divided between the two genres.

Each number was delivered with melodic power in quick succession with acoustic guitar and backing track accompaniment and the occasional humorous quip for late introduction.

This evening he began with Tracy Byrd's, Heaven In My Woman's Eyes, followed by Alan Jackson's,Living On Love, Gord Bamford's, Is It Friday Yet, Wagon Wheel, a current American high charter for Darious Rucker, Marty Robbins', Mr Teardrop and The Mavericks', Back In Your Arms Again.

Each of his three sets was similarly formatted and later songs included Jacub Lyda's, Another Song I Had To Write, Merle Haggard's, Silver Wings,David Houston's, Almost Persuaded, George Jones',Billy Be Bad, Billy Currington's, People Are crazy, and one of Ivor's own compositions, The Jokes On Me, the video of which can be seen on You Tube.

Last numbers featured were Larry Gatlin's, I Don't Wanna Cry, George Strait's, I Just Want To Dance With You, Roger Miller's, Don't We All Have The Right, The Lennerrockers', High Class Lady, Dean Brody's, Little Yellow blanket and to conclude this super concert, Rodney Crowell's, I Walk The Line - Revisited.

Our members gave appreciative applause throughout and Ivor's performance again confirmed his ability to produce a concert ideally suited to dancers and listeners alike.

With such shows as this he will always be welcome at our club.
