Fala is a spirited horse, and he loves to have things his way. Therefore it can sometimes be extraordinarily difficult to ride him, while other times he's simle enough to be a beginner horse. Each morning, Janet has to take him out especially to see how he's acting so that she knows whether he's in his beginner mood or not. It's sort of like Chesnut and her mood swings:)
