Meet RhpasodyBlue

Hi, I'm RhapsodyBlue, I haven't always been quite as blue as I have been for the last five years now, on the contrary, my life was fulfilled and full of music. Yes, that was my greatest God given gift, music. I loved entertaining and started at a very early age, by the time I was eight I was quite the little pro. My life revolved around music and I knew this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life so I had chosen my path.
Following graduation from High School, I reached for the first of my stars at the Busch Gardens Theme Park in Williamsburg, Virginia. I was one, of a fourteen member cast in the production of Totally Television. Little did I know this was to be the highlight of my hopes and dreams.
In the fall, I returned to school at East Carolina University, where a music Scholarship in Vocal performance awaited me. College was another challenge to me and I faced it with 18 credit hours. Yes, life was good, at least until the Spring Break of my freshman year, during that time, I traveled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina along with my Grandmother and Mother, to take in some shows and just mentally relax.
I was very close to my Mother and Grandma. The three of us were often together on shopping excursions, this trip was to be our final one. On Sunday as we returned home, a young man by the name of Brady Paul Swartzle was simultaneously on his way home from work, heading our way. In one neglectful moment he crossed the center line, killing my precious Grandmother and forever changing my life. The three month coma that followed and the years of rehabilitation are only a blur to me. I slowly awoke over the next two years becoming aware of my surroundings as well as myself and my inabilities, one being that I could no longer sing as I was left with a severe speech impediment. Hence RhapsodyBlue was born, as Kelley Parker also died in that horrific accident on March 10th 1996, at Eighteen years of age.
