"A Special Person"

If you're very lucky there is someone special in your life.
It may be your brother, mother, father or possibly your wife.
Sometimes they enter your life other times you are drawn to theirs.
That special someone can be right in front of you and you're completely unaware.

They listen to your problems and dream the dreams you have,
gently pushing you along a straight and narrow path.
Love, they have lots of love it's boundless and true,
Ever lending always giving theirs hearts as just the special do.

Have I mentioned they are also your best friend,
The one you laugh with, cry with, remain with till the end?
Well, the end has arrived I'm sorry to say,
It occurred on the coldest and saddest of days.

It was a careless and negligentful act,
one that won't ever let you come back.
I miss your laughter and even your frown,
I need you still where are you now?

I miss your calls and our lunches out,
we were two peas in a pod without doubt.
We strolled the malls for hours on end,
we shared a special bond you were my best friend.

Yet, there were times we disagreed.
only bringing us closer and making you proud of me.
I tried my very best to be all you wanted me to be,
I pray I haven't let you down Grandma, Ella Ree.

With the Blink of an eye you were gone and left my life,
Leaving me alone with many battles ahead to fight.
Could it be you are now my Angel up above?
as can still feel your presence and the magic of your love.

I sincerely tell you this,
I thank God he blessed me with this list.
He blessed me with your special love,
your special laughter which echoes from above.

A special Smile upon your face,
special wisdom and a touch of grace.
A special song within my heart,
that promises we'll never truly part.

A special friend you were indeed,
A special Grandma for all my need.
I pray to God to look after you,
and then one day allow me to follow too.

Now look around and take a glance,
Do you see that special person by chance.
If you love them show them without a fret.
Then tomorrow won't be filled with sad regret.
