Dophins Playground
Doplhins have long been a fascination to humans. Their gentle ways and loving disposition. Many stories have been told of this amazing creature. Of their acts of heroism. Saving lost ships and rescuing drowning sailors. Now the dolphin is endangered, and man is it's worse enemy.
My grandpa would always tell me stories of when he was in the Navy. He would tell me the dolphins would follow the ship and play. He would feed the potatoes when on KP duty. I would love to listen to those stories. He would tell me of how he would watch them jumping out of the water, dancing on the waves.
Dolphins are very social creatures. They will not leave their young behind, no matter what. Most dolphins that are found in tuna fishing nets are females with their young. The mother will do all in her power to free her baby, and then give her own life to stay with it.
Dolphins are also very playful. They provide an environment of love. They are used in therapy, swim with the dolphins. They have an effect on people with their gentle ways and sweet smiles. They can sense where it is that you hurt and will give you a massage.
Dolphins also ban together and protect thier young. They are known to face sharks in order to keep the young safe. They use thier powerful tails and beaks to bump, or hit the sharks away from the babies.
Now take a moment to sit and relax, listen to the music and envision the dolphins playing in the surf....
