October 1 - October 6
Since they finished the drywall, we were able to primer and paint some walls before the floors were refinished. That's another construction volunteer, my sister, Joy! Oscar hung some more light fixtures and the village poured the driveway and walk!
October 8 - October 13
It's floor week! Installation, repair, sanding and staining! 'No Thumper, you can't chase the machine!' By Sunday, this is what it all looked like! You can't tell new from old! The guy did a great job! Oh, the village graded THEIR portion of our yard!
October 15 - October 20
It's actually feeling like things are getting back to normal. We got sod in front, our cement guys came back to grade OUR portion of the yard and Oscar got a new fish tank. There was more painting! Yep, there is my sister again doing a faux finish on my bedroom walls. IT LOOKS AWESOME - THANKS JOY! Oscar painted my office and installed the ceiling fan in our bedroom!
October 22 - October 27
The carpet was installed, the village put the FINAL paving on the street, we installed some baseboard, moved the bed upstairs (look for a picture next week) and actually slept in our bedroom for the first time last night! Not sure if that's legal since we don't have final approval yet but TOUGH! Oh and what is that in Oscars' tank? It's a catfish! HA! Get it? CAT - FISH, CATFISH!
