Pertinent Comments On Pertinent Issues

Well, here it is. The main reason for the futile existence of this web page. An organ to voice my opinions on anything and everything important and not so important in the world today, yesterday and occasionally tomorrow...
You may notcie though, just as an endnote, that cricket is always a feature and my teams can be seen at the bottom of the page if you so wish to be informed...

The team for Zimbabwe has been announced and by God its not bad, except for Magilla's replacement. I respect his decision to abort but his replacement really must be able to turn the ball, not Camo White. Maybe a Hoggy or even a Haury, even though he doesn't spin the ball much either. All this proves is that Shane Warne is sniffing the right arses because it can only be his influence which has gained Whitey selection in the greatest sdquad on the planet at the moment, which I'm sorrt to say, he doesn't deserve to be a part of at this point in time. Anyway, I've adjusted my teams since last time to accommodate a bit of form, but not too much because a World XI is all about consistency. Also a mention to BC Lara 400*, top notch Prince. Until next time...

Well its been a while now hasn't it, but we won the series if you've otherwise fallen off this planet for some reason. Big tons to Marto again and Boofa again as well as JL have done wonders for the teams morale. Just good cricket allround I guess. Special mention also goes out to Warnie's top comeback, 26 wickets in a 3 test series, and they were top order batsman too, not bloody tailenders like that robber Murali. I can't be the only one who has noticed that he has 1 for 110 and then cleans up the tail to end with 5 for 115. Pie chucker...

Well this is a great day. Australia has just won the 1st Test in Sri Lanka and Warnie's got 500. Marto, Boof and Haydos all hit great tons. Magilla and Kasper bowled wonderfully well in support of Warne. The Dos Kid also took 7 catches in the match, a world record equalling effort for a non-wicketkeeper. A great perfomance all round. No wonder there is an Aussie dominance in my World XI (see below)...
