TimeSplitters Merchandise

By Drifting

Most of you out there probably don't realize that there have been assorted TimeSplitters-related products throughout the years. I myself wasn't aware of a lot of it until Shock Trooper posted pictures of them on the TimeSplitters Musicbox Forums. Thanks to him for sharing his discoveries with me. Now then, let's get started.

This first one is what appears to be a Monkey-themed TS:FP calendar. I've never seen these sold anywhere, so my guess is that it was created for promotional purposes and distributed at E3 or to the press.

This TS2 shirt was selling at ebay.co.uk. This one is a TS2 shirt featuring Harry Tipper, Cortez, and Kitten Celeste on the logo. It's obviously not an official shirt (the dealer seems to be a small company that makes custom shirts), but it seems professional enough. If only I were British, I'd buy one...

I've made a new discovery. According to Yahoo's Video Game News, promotional TimeSplitters T-shirts were given away to everyone who pre-ordered TS1. The link where you could order one of these limited edition T-shirts from is dead, so there's no way of getting a picture of one. If someone out there has a pic of one, please send it in at my e-mail address. Thanks.

Now here's an interesting one: a PS2 painted with TimeSplitters 2 art! There's a few theories on this at the TimeSplitters Music Box. One idea is that it was custom-painted for promotional purposes and distributed by Eidos to the gaming press. Another theory is that an obsessed fan may have painted it or had it painted on their PS2. That's probably unlikely, but an interesting guess. Yet another theory says that a company independent of Eidos might paint game art onto consoles. For now, the answer is unclear.
