About Michael Scott Tilley:

Hello,

I am a small town guy from Lamoni, Iowa. I started playing with Paint on the school's Macs back in elementary and by middle school was using my parents computer to edit photos and draw pictures. In high school I began to branch into film. I got a camera for Christmas one year and the rest was history. I began shooting my friends for short home made movies and created a show that I would burn to DVDs and pass out at school for 5 bucks.

I graduated in 2006 from High School and that fall found myself a freshman at Graceland University. I took art classes which supplemented my dabbling in design, comics, and animation while at Graceland. It was while hidden away in my dorm doing the first experiments that I begin to realize that animation might not only be something that I enjoyed but something that I was quite good at.

In the fall of 2008 I transferred from Graceland to University of Iowa. There I found Student Video Productions and started the show "Wormhole Wastrels". I began taking the prerequisites required to take the lonely animation class offered within my bachelor degree of Cinema.

Now with a BA in Cinema and experience in both 2D and 3D design and animation I have began to build a resume and portfolio that will propel me into the digital art industry.
