Grotbags started off with Televisions most feared bird Emu. Emu was notoriously known for viciously attacking famous people and talk show hosts, everyone feared the bird known as "The Beak".
Grotbags first met up with EMU doing a live summer show in Clethorpes in 1979.Grotbags first TV show with Emu and his owner Rod Hull in 1980 in Emu's World.
Grotbags of course was to be Emu's enemy and the bird would attack her and make all the children at home
watching scream with laughter. Later Grotbags joined Emu in EMU'S ALL LIVE PINK WINDMILL SHOW in 1984 which was featured in the pink windmill where Emu and Rod lived happily
This was filmed in front of a live audience and everyone would shout "There's somebody at the door" and in would barge Grotbags and her stupid assistants ,Croc a soppy crocodile and Redford
a very dosile Robot and they would always get walloped with Grotbags dreaded BEZAZER.
Grotbags and her assistants would challenge the live audience to games where they could win prizes from Grotbags cauldron.
Grotbags always wanted to capture Emu
as Emu was a magic bird
and combining his powers with Grotbags would make Grotbags able to control every single Brat in the world but Grotbags always failed. Rod started a new series called EMU-TV which again was
Presented in a TV studio as a TV network station presented by Rod and Emu and they would introduce sketches featuring their adventures with Grotbags with her old assistant Croc and new assistant Grovel her butler .
Grotbags had her weekly serials "gone with the witch" and "temple of gloom" there would also be challenges called EMU challenge in which Rod and Grotbags would be in charge of different teams and compete against one another to win
prizes such as money for a charity or school club.Both Emu shows featured children from the corona stage school that would perform songs and dance throughout the serials.

Grotbags last outing with her pals Rod and Emu was the animated series Rod "N" Emu that aired in 1991 just as Grotbags got her own show. Rod N Emu was once again set in the pink windmill
with Grotbags , Croc and Redford trying to capture Emu on her HOVERGROT (her hovercraft) but they also added a new character named sharmar the charmer
a genie like magician who slept on a bed of nails and would come to stay with them at the pink windmill and perform magic with Emu.
Sadly Rod Hull past away in 1999 who was a dear friend to Carol and greatly missed by millions.
Rod hulls son Toby Hull has now taken over Emu and appeared in pantomimes with him and started his own series with Emu's son baby Emu on CITV.Grotbags wishes him all the luck in the world!!
