Mocking Phoenix”

Heaven, Albus Dumbledore has become an angel. He has
a pretty pair of white feathered wings, a halo, his own soft cloud,
everything should be in order ... but something is wrong. His halo
doesn’t shine, because he’s sad. He keeps staring below
to the world of the living, to his beloved ones he had to part with.
He looks down, he’s sad, and his halo refuses to shine. That’s
something unprecedented, everybody is happy in Heaven. So God summons
Dumbledore.
“Don’t you like it here?” God
asked him.
“Oh, no. This is an amazing place, exceeding
all expectations,” Dumbledore sincerely answers.
“But
I see you’re not happy here,” God pointed out.
“No,
I must admit that I’m not,” Dumbledore whispered.
“I’m
the Almighty, tell me what I can do to make you happy!” God
commanded.
“I’m sad because I didn’t have
the time to say goodbye to a person,” Dumbledore
confessed.
“Then I’ll send you back on earth for a
short while, I’ll give you the chance to tell Harry goodbye,”
God proposed. “Nobody else will hear you,” God added.
“But how is this possible if there's someone else in
the room?” Dumbledore asked perplexed.
“That's
because he will hear you with his heart,” God said, and with a
blessing sign of his hand he sent Dumbledore back on earth.
He
apparates at the Burrow, where Harry was staying for Bill and Fleur’s
wedding. He's sharing a room with Ron, but the other won't wake up.
He moves to Harry’s bed and his feet make no din. He take seat
at the feet of the boy’s bed, and Harry suddenly wakes
up.
“Professor Dumbledore?” Harry whispers
astonished, as soon as he sees the man smiling at him. His eyes fill
with tears.
“Sssh, Harry. There’s no time for
explanations, just listen...” Dumbledore whispers.
Dumbledore:
Yes
I know there must be things that don’t
seem to make sense to you right now
But boy, what I used to tell
you?
Straighten up little soldier
Be brave, my good boy
What
you crying about?
I’m with you.
Harry, I know you
miss your mum and I know you miss your dad,
When each night in
your bed, you dream about the life that you never had
I can see
you're sad, even when you smile, even when you laugh
I can see it
in your eyes, deep inside you want to cry

scared, and I’m dead!
Lily's with you in your prayers
No

James's here, no more nightmares

the terrible things that growing up you have been seeing

didn't want you to see but you see just as much as we did

have gotten so bad for all of us

then of course some things happen for the wrong reason
I guess it
went like it meant to be
But it's just something we have no
control over and that's what destiny is

I remember back in your first year when you stayed over the
hols
In the Great Hall with twelve Christmas trees
Presents
stuck near your bed and you found your cloak, it was from me

your dad couldn't give it
I'll never forget that Christmas when
we met in front the mirror

were sitting there
Hour after hour, you’ve been staring
helplessly at the image of your parents
And at that time in the
house that you lived in
Either kept beating you up or abuse

locked up under the stairs, your dad saved money for you in his vault
Hagrid gave a piggy tail to your cousin and took you to Hogwarts
In that school a thousand years old where people go to learn some
magic
Now I know it hurts so bad, it broke your little heart
That now that I’m dead things seem to be starting to fall
apart
Arthur and Molly are arguing a lot, they want Ron home
But
he says he will leave, he wants to be with you
And Hermione moved
away from her Muggle safety to join you two
And that's when
friends have to stand side by side and help one each other
They
flew to the Dursleys just to see you
I know you have an aim, you
have to find those pieces
Then you start seeing the enemy on the
T.V. and people don't like it
And all you kids are too young to
understand it
Death Eaters around the world, come to join the
Dark Lord
And it all happened too fast for either one of us to
grab it
I'm just sorry you were there and had to witness it first
hand
‘Cause all I ever wanted to do was just help you out
Now I'm sitting in this crowded house, just reminiscing
Looking'
at your young face and it just tears me apart
To see how much you
have grown, it's almost like you're a man now
Gods, I’m
wishing you good luck and I’m still here
Harry, I'm talking
to you, boy, I’m still here
I like the sound of that, yes
It's got a ring to it, don't it?
Shh, think I’m only
gone for the moment
Now hush dear Harry, don't you cry

if that mocking phoenix don't sing and you feel sad

that nasty bird
I'd go back to the wizard who sold it to you
And
make him give you everything you want for that.
Then
Dumbledore gives a last hug to Harry, and goes away. The boy stares
for a while to the spot where the wizard has been sitting just
minutes before. He can’t feel the pain any more, he just feels
a warm, comforting sensation in his chest. It’s like a small
fire left inside him by Dumbledore’s hug, a consolation like
the phoenix song, a mocking phoenix song.
