RIGHT PHOTO-Daniel is taking a little afternoon nap in this photograph because of his hard day at school. The machine that is captured in the top left corner is for his G-tube, which is a tube that goes into his stomach so he can receive additional hearty liquids to pack on the pounds and get the fluids he needs to keep away those kidney stones. Daniel has a reflux disease and has a very hard time drinking, by having this G-tube takes away the struggle of pumping liquids in through a sippey cup.

LEFT PHOTO-This photograph of Keith is from 1997 when he was in school spending time in their stander, which works the their legs to keep them functioning strong and straight. It is becoming too difficult for the boys to be in the stander because of how aggressive they are with their hand and arm behaviors.

RIGHT PHOTO-This is bath time for Daniel. He loves getting a bath and is quite wild while getting one. This older version bath chair is very handy for younger handicapped children, but is actually beginning quite a challenge as the boys are getting older and are starting to weigh more. It can be hard on a person's back when lifting them out of it. Since this picture was taken the bathroom has been remodeled with a 36' door installed and the bathtub right inside the bathroom, which makes all the other elements of giving a bath easier on the helpers.

LEFT PHOTO-For the past few years Keith has been able to participate in T-ball and now Little League. It is one of his most exciting times of the year because he gets to actually participate with his peers. Keith participates a little different but the teams adapt. The Home Care Aides or his parents take him up to the plate and put his hands on the bat with their hands over his and hit it out of there together. Last year he almost got a homerun, he is still talking about it. Keith plays left or right field and loves every minute of it.

RIGHT PHOTO-These two boys have one major task to do in the summer time and that is to enjoy their time in the new swimming pool. They have purchased a air blown type pool that is 4' tall by 18'in diameter. That gives both the boys plenty of room to play and get exercise. With the help of small tubes and floaties the boys are able to play and swim on their own, with supervision of course.

LEFT PHOTO-This is Keith in his walker, which is a piece of equipment that each of the boys have to help them keep their whole body in good shape and keep their joints moving, similiar to a range of motion exercise. They sit against a padded bar and their chest is strapped against the back of the walker. Their ankles are also strapped, but with enough leway to walk comfortably.

RIGHT PHOTO-This is Daniel doing what he loves to do best, spend time with Dad playing outside. Daniel looks exactly like his father and loves every moment he gets to spend with him because he works all day and is away over night on occasion. The boys love to play sports and we play hockey, baseball, football, and many other goofy games.

LEFT PHOTO-Keith and his brother are on an outing, which is one game they get really excited over. Bowling is pretty easy for the boys because they use the ball helpers but they love getting out and doing things everyone else does.
