The morning light seeped through the tall grass, making lines of white light across the five huddled figures. The rain from the night before left puddles of wet grass around them and the air misty. Lighting the land was the sun that was shinning bright in the cleared sky. The earth was peaceful in it's waking hours.

Kevin was first to wake as the light hit his eyes. He woke in a drugged state, his vision blurry and a fuzzy feeling inside his mouth. With his muscles tensing during the night, sitting up was a chore. His joints ached and his head throbbed.

Looking down at the four sleeping bodies next to him, Kevin felt his heart jump. "They look so pathetic.." He mumbled in pity. Next to him, Nick shivered. The blonde's hands reached out to where Kevin once lay, looking for warmth in the chill of the morning.

Kevin lay back down and wrapped his arms around the younger one. All at once Nick's reaching and movements ceased. He settled down into sleep again.

It took several minuets until the next awakened. Kevin heard AJ's groans before the rebel even knew he was making them.

Sitting up, AJ rubbed his eyes and yawned. "Shit.." He muttered.

"Hey Alex," Kevin whispered looking up at him. AJ smiled his hello.

"Helluva night, 'ey?"

"Not something I want to experience again."

"How's our buddy?" AJ peered down at Nick who was still snuggled in Kevin's arms.

"Asleep. I woke to find him shivering and reaching for a blanket or something. I think I'm helping."

AJ nodded, "D. and Bri are dead to the world."

"They always could sleep anywhere."

AJ answered, "Lucky them." The two were quiet for some time, finally AJ asked, "Should we wake them?" Kevin nodded. AJ gently shook Howie, "D.? Come on Howie, Wake up..." Howie grimaced as the sun hit his eyes when he woke. "Morning Sunshine."

"Bite me Alex."

"So sweet."

Kevin chuckled and started to wake Nick up. "Nicky? Come on baby, wake up." Nick stirred and opened his eyes. He groaned and shut them quickly. Kevin laughed, "Nuh uh, up!" Giving in, Nick sat up, immediately feeling cold he wrapped his arms around himself.

Howie slid closer to him and put his arm around him. "I'm cold too, we'll keep each other warm," He said only half joking.

After waking Brian up, the five stood. In the distance the house loomed like a terrifying giant. Dark against the light sky.

"One of these things is not like the other ones..." AJ sang. He received few laughs.

The five slowly walked back to the house. Their fear growing with each step.

The woods, usually peaceful and serene seemed to hold a source of evil. Almost instinctively, the moved closer together.

At the edge of the property they stopped. "Well, boys," Howie mumbled, "welcome to hell." Nick opened the gate and together they entered.

-

"Everything looks okay." Brian turned around to look at the boys. They had searched the first and second floors to look for anything out of the ordinary.

"To the attic then," Kevin said half heartily. A search of the attic saw nothing out of place. The five were left at the bottom of the hidden stairs.

"So uhmm..." AJ fidgeted, "do I have too?"

"Yes, you do, and how's you're head?" Asked Howie who had gone to his room to put a shirt on.

"Fine."

"Then you're okay to help us."

"Actually, there's this little pain..."

"Alexander..."

"Okay, okay!" He raised his hands in defeat.

Cautiously, the entered the room. Expecting to find it in shambles, they were shocked to see nothing out of order.

"Maybe it was a dream..." Howie mused.

"Then why were we outside this morning?" Reasoned Kevin. They were silent.

"We can't stay in this house," said Brian who still stood in the doorway.

Strongly, Nick answered him, "Yes! Yes, we can! We just need to get rid of him!"

"How?" Brian demanded.

"Like this!" And Nick sat down at the piano, and stared to rehearse.

-

Two O'clock the next day, Gwen kept her word. Arriving in beat up jeans and an oversized flannel, she set to work on preparing the room.

Three dozen folding chairs somehow came into her hands and the boys took them from her beat up pickup truck to the room.

"We're not inviting anyone, but it has to be the right amount of chairs," She explained to their raised eyebrows.

The boys hurled them upstairs while she rearranged other furniture. After much debate, they had settled for that night as the concert. It only took two hours to set up and by four O'clock they finished, and sat down to a late lunch.

Nick fidgeted the entire time, his hands twisting around each other. Barely eating his sandwich, he picked at it, looking disgusted at the mere mention of his not eating by the others.

AJ rolled his eyes, "Nicky! Calm down! Stop being so...so...yourself!" Nick stood.

"I'm not hungry."

"And what? You're going to go upstairs to your room and pace?"

"No!"

He paced.

The minute his door clicked shut his feet stared. Back and forth the length of his room. He knew he had a chance of dying that night, and he wondered if it was all worth it.

It was, he forced himself to think, it definitely was.

-

A quater to seven, Gwen knocked on his door, she peered in. "It's time. Go upstairs, when the clock hits seven exactly, walk out and sit, just start playing. We'll be up there to support you."

Doing as he was told, Nick entered the hidden room, he stood in the corner waiting.

Being up there alone set chills down his back. He couldn't believe that just a short while ago, this was his safe haven, his precious room where he could sit and play for hours.

Downstairs, the others sat and waited, they would enter at five after, as not to disturb anything.

He waited for the twelfth strike before he walked to the piano. Nick knew he had to act like he actually was Andrew, and even though he felt silly, he turned and acknowledged the chairs as though there really were people seated in them.

His heart was pounding as he sat. In order, the sheet music sat on the stand waiting for him. As he touched the keys they felt warm under his hands. He began to play.

Halfway through the first song, the knob on the door turned and Kevin, Howie, AJ, Brian, and Gwen entered. AJ moved to sit in one of the chairs, but Gwen stopped him. In a whisper she said, "The chairs are for the guests, not you, you weren't there." He nodded in understanding.

By mid the next song, the room seemed to start to glow. In a haze, the electric lights faded and turned into soft candle light. Amazed by what they saw, the five on lookers gasped. One by one, the chairs started filling with ghostly people. Andrew's actual guests had come back from there graves to see the show. When the seats filled, all eyes turned towards Nick.

Kevin felt his hand being tightly grabbed and looked down to see Brian shaking. When he looked back up, Nick had transformed.

His jeans and tee he had worn only moments before were now an old fashioned suit. He hair grew a little longer and his eyes more purple. He had transformed into Andrew.

Behind him, a twelve piece orchestra appeared and began playing with him.

Five chairs appeared in front of them. Taking the hint, the sat and watched. Beautifully, Nick played as Andrew, getting up between each song to bow as the audience clapped.

The harmonious music seemed to calm everyone's nerves, and Gwen and the guys relaxed and enjoyed the show. Towards the middle, the fidgeting started however, this was were the first Andrew died. But Nick played through that song and the next, with no incidents.

The tension started to rise as the concert came to a closing. The five in the back wondering what would happen to Nick.

As the notes of the last song ended, Nick stood up to bow. All around him, the spirits were standing and clapping loudly. He motioned to the orchestra, in applaud to them then continued to bow himself.

Behind him, the orchestra vanished slowly, the candle lights turned back into electric lights and slowly the people faded out, the echo of there applause still clinging to the room. Out from Nick stepped Andrew, in the same dress as Nick changed into. Nick was left as he was before the concert, shorter hair, jeans and a tee-shirt.

Smiling to everyone, Andrew sat at his piano, then he, and the piano vanished, a 'thank you' from his mouth hung in the air.

Nick was left standing in the middle of the room, a smile plastered to his face.

"We did it guys, we actually did it!" It was then though, that he faltered, his smiled fading.

"Nicky? What's wrong?" AJ asked, worried. He stepped forward, "Nicky?"

Nick took one shaky step forward, and collapsed to the ground in an unconscious heap.

Am I evil or what? This is the last chapter, but have no fear! I'm writing an epilogue to finish the story. Will Nicky live? Is Andrew really gone? Find out next time on...BEHIND BLUE EYES! I'm so corny... ::Grin::
