The Center of Stories

This is the center of non-fanfiction stories.

These works are creative, and they are mine. While inspiration may be drawn from anywhere, the characters are of my creation, the worlds they reside within are of my creation, and the ideas I will be exploring will be personal.

For the time being, these stories are divided into two sections; the Mental Paths, and the Taludrian Tales.

The Mental Paths

A Story of Ze and Sie

Much of the Mental Paths stories are derived from journal fragments---they're characters I use for analyzing my views on something. Taking some core concept, I set the characters to arguing or discussing, letting the appropriate characters voice my differing views.

As such, their stories may show up in the ~Swirling Flight~ section of the site first. I'd prefer to bring their stories over once they're better developed... but there's plenty of character info available in here.

The Taludrian Tales

Mifreterecer: The Destroyer

Cidyoz Hek'd: The Devourer

Conarlegre Senehil: The Defender

The "Taludrian Tales" are a series of fantasy-based stories that I've been constructing pieces of for years. A character here... the map, shifting several times, and now being increasingly detailed. The deities and the cosmos, the nature of magic, the structures of major religions... the political scenarios, and the basic history.

The last few months, I've been applying the DnD style rules to randomly generating a town and a city, several characters, and for guiding my creation of the rest of the deities. I've analyzed the DnD theologies and world-building styles that I've found in the books I have access, taking ideas to use as I see fit.

Recently, TTT has also taken on a role like that of the mental paths; two of the story arcs I'm working with have developed for the purpose of expressing philosophic ideas.

The Supposed Villain

The story of the 'Supposed Villain' is going to be used for:

The story of the Philosopher is going to be used for:

Besides these two, there is the main story arc that takes place in '499 AA', and involves the large number of characters that my folders and sketches can attest to.

A Story consists of...

Mostly, though, a story for me is a prose expression of ideas.
An allegory symbolizing the expression of ideas and ideals in an easy to take-in manner, like a myth, is an excellent and deliberately-structured kind of story.
An account of events that might occur, as in a real-life situation, often filled with and describing the illogic of non-structured life, even if it takes a structured situation to communicate it.
