He raises a hand, activating the ties between the Aer'Ilath and their world, and the white mist is finally revealed---not filling the space around them, for it was always there; rather, their normal world pushes away.

With the mist revealed, the illusions are swept away, and all colors and appearances are sharpened; they glow, to each others' eyes.
