Yamanouchi's presence in the US is divided into two divisions: pharmacuetical & consumer. The former is self explanitory; the latter comes under the Shaklee brand, which has a number of subsidiaries including Bear Creek, Harry & David and Jackson & Perkins. It is important that you do both. It is by making sure that every part of Yamanouchi is held accountable for the company's involvement in HLS, that we will get them to pull out for good. If they ask why they are being contacted, tell them to get onto their managers and who ever else they can reach to put pressure on the Japanese parent to drop HLS. Harry & David have stories in 35 states, so why not pop in and have a polite word with their managers and let them know what the rest of their company is up to.
Shaklee likes to proclaim it is "the company with a conscience" - not as long as Yamanouchi deals with HLS, it's not; get out there and inform the world that Shaklee/Yamanouchi have no conscience whatsoever.
