Dally is the toughest of all the greasers due to the fact he grew up in a tough neighborhood in New York. Johnny is the one thing that Dallas ever loved and his death tortured him so much he went and robbed a grocery store just to get the cops to chase him. He held up an unloaded gun to the fuzz just so they would shoot him and take him out of this world.

In the book he is described to have light blond hair but in the movie it is brown.

He's potrayed by Matt Dillon in the movie.
