The entire story could not possibly be told without including information about the person who instigated the bogus case against Sharif. So, on this page we will share sworn affidavits that Cathy Jonette Hawkins and the Dallas County D.A.'s office prepared. We point out the inconsistent, contradictory, implausible and deceptive allegations made by Ms. Hawkins and the numerous red flags that hang above the prosecution's theory that Sharif is guilty of the crimes he has been charged with. It is apparently obvious to all but Dallas County officials that over $250,000.00 of our tax dollars have been wasted on the pursuit of another "unethical" conviction of an "INNOCENT" person. You'd think after "16" exonerations D.A. Watkins office would be more vigilant about corroborating the allegations of vitims who are also the only witnessto an alleged crime.
Ms. Hawkins' well-known lack of veracity shatters her credibility as a witness, and raises a distrubing cloud of suspicion across a wide range of key issues and accusations in connection with the charging indictments. This is one of the many factors that causes "Reasonable Doubt" about the charges pending against Sharif. At Sharif's November 17, 2005 bond reduction hearing, Ms. Hawkins contradicted herself repeatedly and changed her story so many times, until one observer said the only thing missing from this woman's story is "Once Upon A Time". Ms. Hawkins' deceptiveness and vindictive feelings towards Sharif for cheating on her is so evident to everyone, except the prosecution. Why?
The big question many readers keep asking is "will D.A. Watkins and staff go after Ms. Hawkins with the same zeal as they have Sharif", once Ms. Hawkins has to finally take the stand in front of a jury and admit that she has been lieing all along (i.e.she's committed aggravated perjury and filed false police reports) and she made everything up? We would hope so, especially in light of all the tens of thousands in taxpayers money spent thus far because of Ms. Hawkins theatrics.
