Scilence Eternal

For all the times you've stood alone
You've nothing to show, nor to condone
Nor to curse, or to love, or to bless
You've never had true happiness

You've never wept; you're too stoic for such
And of emotions you've never thought much
Stern and upright, a true unfailing glare
And for nothing and no one you care

You don't live out hopes; vicariously, you gaze
With something akin to longing your haze
But dreaming is for dreamers in your eyes
And your heart is too cold to see through its lies

You're educated, smart, too intelligent for this distortion
How come you can't see through your mind's own contortion?
This facade is failing, you're skating on thin
And you're playing a game that you can't hope to win

I've little hope that you'll listen to me
And open your eyes and finally see
And although you won't listen, I still will say
That while I'm no prophet, I think you will pay

And you won't find emotions you've rarely caught
After all, emotions always were your weak spot
But you and your stoicism will be your doom
Silence eternal, that is your tomb
