A wonderous tale

This story is dedicated to Bill.

One christmas day, I went downstairs, and to my amazement, I got a digital camera! I was happy. I took pictures of everything. It was fun. But then one day, i looked in the viewfinder to snap a picture, and i was shocked to see an ant. I turned the camera around, and couldnt see anything. I looked back inside, and it was gone.

I thought that i was seeing things. But when i went to take another pic, he was back, and crawling around. The ant didnt appear in any of the pictures when I printed them. I forgot about my camera for a while, and a month later, went to take a picture, and the ant was still in there, crawling around. What in the hell was the ant eating. I named him Bill.

The thing about Bill, is that he is a magician. He has to be. There are no holes on the exterior of my camera. The battery door opens, but there arent even any cracks through there. Bill must be a wizard too, because he survived for a long time inside a centimeter cube area without food.

Unfortunatley the lifespan of an ant isnt the longest, and bill passed away. When you look in the camera to take a picture, it appears to be a spot. But if you look close, you can see that it is much more than a spot. Bill is forever stuck inside the camera, in the top left hand corner of the viewfinder.

The camera still works fine. Maybe he ate all the ant food that was put there by the people making the camera. Who knows.

May he rest in peace always.

To bill, the dead ant that lives inside my camera.
